Grand Blanc East Middle School is a middle school in Grand Blanc, Michigan, as part of the Grand Blanc Community Schools school district. It was opened for the first time for the 2006-07 school year. Grand Blanc East Middle School feeds into one of the largest high schools in Michigan, Grand Blanc Community High School. It consists of 8 teams(growth in students 2010-2011), or sets of "core classes" teachers, some two grades combined, for grades 6-8.

There has been a known rivalry between East Middle School and Grand Blanc West Middle Schools in athletic and scholastic events.

History

Grand Blanc East Middle School was one of two middle schools built from 2004 to 2006 (along with its sister school West Middle School), as a part of a bond issue in the Grand Blanc city and township that built the schools as well as updating existing elementary and high schools. Grand Blanc West Middle School is a twin school on the other side of town. The Grand Blanc Community Schools feeder district for getting more students from the elementary schools consists of the elementary schools of Indian Hill, Cook/Mason (two schools, of which Cook feeds into Mason, and then Mason into East Middle School), and Myers.
